THE KIDS

H, K, L, D & h (1st day of school)
This is what I call my children because their dad doesn't want their real names on this blog (insert eye roll).

H ~  H is my 13 1/2 year old DAUGHTER.  H is in the 8th grade and seems to struggle with normal teenage girl stuff. (She thinks she has no friends, no boys like her, life is so unfair... etc., etc., etc., ) She is extremely smart and beautiful so she must take after my side of the family. However, she has told me on more than one occasion that she finds it very hard to believe that any of my friends find me funny! Bwahahahaha

K, L & D ~ My (just turned 11) boy, girl, boy triplets who were born at 32 weeks after a 4 week long hospital bedrest.

K ~ He is the oldest of the triplets only because they pulled him out first at 10:27pm. K is a very smart young man that seems to have a hard time making friends. I call him our "$500,000 baby" because the hospital made a mistake and billed us instead of insurance. K's smile can light up an entire room! He has ADHD and seems to be a little slower at learning than the other 2. He spent 66 days at Cook Children's NICU. He was 5 lb. 2 oz. at birth.

L ~ L was pulled out second at 10:27 pm and is the typical middle child. She is smart, makes friends easy and thinks she is the boss of everything and everyone. Her daddy calls her "mini-mom". L spent 43 days in the NICU. She was 3 lb. 14 oz. at birth.

D ~ D was born last at 10:28pm and the ONLY triplet to cry at birth. D is super smart and in the GATE program at school. He has tons of friends because he is so easy going. I call him the "peacemaker" because he can be calm when dealing with his siblings. However, I hate playing games with D because he always challenges the rules of the game and often makes his own rules. He spent 27 days in the NICU. He was 4 lb. 3 oz. at birth.

h ~ h is our surprise #5. Born at 34 weeks he weighed 9 lb. 11 oz. h has pretty much thrown us for a loop since we found out we were pregnant with him. He was a perfect baby. Either that or I thought 1 baby was a piece of cake after having 3. He didn't talk for a long time and when he turned 3 I could have sworn aliens replaced him with something. We were thrown out of many pre-schools. (I tell people we did a "tour of pre-schools" because that sounds better.) In Kindergarten he was diagnosed with ADHD. In 2nd grade (last year) it all went to shit. He went to several "out patient" facilities for school after telling his teacher he wanted to kill himself using my kitchen knives. (WTH??) At these facilities he was diagnosed with the following: OCD, Anxiety disorder, ODD (oppositional defiance disorder), low self esteem and Bi-Polar. h has a heart of gold if he would just chill out once in a while. This blog mentions him a lot in my quest to get my family healthy. Oh, Did I mention that h is off the charts genius? Yup he is also in the GATE program at school. He is smart enough to skip grades but his attitude kept him where he is.

IRVING

Irving is my "furry son" and constant
shadow.

RANGER

Ranger is technically H's fish.
However, I feed him & change his water.
